There’s nothing worse than hitting midlife and having to deal with dark patches under your eyes – a common complaint among many patients. With the constraints of daily living, the dark circles under the eyes are a hallmark of general fatigue. Not to mention, that with age the skin loses its natural buoyancy, with tired skin appearing thinner. Tear trough fillers are a fantastic solution for smoothening out facial wrinkles and restoring youth in aged skin. Specifically targeting the problem areas, dermal fillers can substantially improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Juvea Aesthetics is proud to be one of the leading clinics using hyaluronic acid fillers, a compound already naturally present within the body.
For some time now, the cosmetic industry has been favouring natural hyaluronic based dermal fillers. Why? Well, they are less likely to cause patient complications, stay in the right place and give the best end-results. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are cohesive, in the sense that the particles are more likely to stick together. Comparatively, synthetic fillers, are made from harder particles, less likely to stay in one place, they can drift to other areas of the body. Juvea tends to favour products like Restylane, Tesosyal, and Juvederm – able to produce safe and repeatable results. Although they do not last as long as permanent dermal fillers, the revitalising effects can last for at least nine months. With a wealth of knowledge surrounding aesthetic injectables, Juvea, feel more than capable of helping reach your end results.
Treatment with dermal fillers is relatively straightforward since it takes less than thirty minutes in most cases. Not to mention, we can easily slot a treatment session in-between your busy schedule with ease. With little side-effects to none, dermal fillers are treatment with massive benefits. In some cases, patients may experience mild swelling, which can last hours, to days or possibly longer. Generally, we recommend that you avoid touching the treatment area and avoid irritating this area. Focus on relaxing, drinking water and eating a healthy diet as much as possible. If you do feel considerable pain, then this should be manageable with over-the-counter medications, like paracetamol. Additionally, swelling can be managed by placing ice on the treated area. We always recommend that if our patients are planning to get dermal fillers for an event – they should give themselves enough time in advance.
Unlike synthetic fillers, there is less chance the filler will move after being injected. As stated, this is because hyaluronic fillers are natural with a more cohesive property than permanent fillers. If any issues were to occur, although statistically unlikely, we would be able to dissolve the filler.
In less than thirty minutes, injections with dermal fillers can target the thinning of the skin under the eyes. As shown in our photos, you can see the significant difference with and without dermal fillers. We cannot state, yes, you will be happy with the results – it depends on if we have helped reach your ideals etc.
The most common adverse effect is that the dermal filler may move, if this happens, we can dissolve it.
Yes, upon consultation, we will be able to assess your face, then decide on which areas would benefit from treatment. Essentially, this means we can treat multiple areas at one time.
Hyaluronic fillers can last for at least nine months, considerably longer than many dermal fillers that are available. Your face will appear significantly younger as we are able target age prone areas with ease.
After we inject under your eyes, we recommend that you relax and avoid strenuous activity. For example, exercise can promote blood flow the face, aggravating the dermal fillers. This can add to the swelling, which is why we recommend that you take a few days to ensure swelling subsides.
One of the significant benefits of using hyaluronic fillers is that they cohesive, so upon injection the particles are less likely to move. Comparably, permanent dermal fillers are more likely to move to other areas of the body.
To prepare for the consultation, we recommend that you avoid taking any blood thinners, which will make the injection site more prone to bruising after the treatment.
You may experience some mild discomfort or swelling in the treated area. However, bleeding can occur in a small number of cases.
We will explore all the options thoroughly and explain the process with regards to dermal fillers. For example, some patients ask about different areas and what specific facial areas would be beneficial for them to improve their facial appearance. We can recommend the next steps and show you before and after photos, as some evidentiary examples of the consultant’s work
