Dermal Fillers – Cheek Augmentation

Dermal Fillers London – Cheek Augmentation Treatments

High, prominent cheekbones have always been associated with beauty and youth, but unfortunately, as we age our skin begins to lose its elasticity and plumpness leaving us with lost volume in the cheek area- and a more pronounced hollow look. This is likely to cause an overall ageing effect to a person’s appearance and make them look gaunt and tired

Help is at hand here at Juvea Aesthetics London, where our expert practitioners are trained to carry out a non-surgical, non-invasive cheek augmentation procedure using dermal fillers to reshape and contour the cheek area.

This cheek filler treatment may be suitable for anyone desiring an improvement in the size and shape of their cheeks, as well as those who feel their face is too, facial features which need balancing or an angular face that needs softening. An initial consultation with a Juvea Aesthetics practitioner will determine the goals you wish to achieve from the treatment and depending on this, a suitable dermal cheek filler will be chosen for you. We only use safe, Hyluaronic Acid-based fillers at Juvea (such as Juvederm, Restylane and Teosyal) as they are natural and absorbed by the body over time, with no chance of an allergic reaction.

The fillers are then injected with very fine needles at varying depths to plump out (or ‘fill’) the cheek area and restore natural volume. The procedure will take around half an hour and there is a little downtime, so you can even head straight back to the office if you need to! The treatment is relatively painless as some types of filler contain an anaesthetic, but we can also apply an anaesthetic cream beforehand. There may be some minimal swelling at the injection site but this is completely normal and will be significantly reduced within 48 hours, and you will be advised about any other temporary side effects that may occur such as bruising or infection and how to avoid them.

The great news is that dermal fillers will give instant results in adding volume to the cheek area- but also stimulate the production of your skin’s natural collagen to further boost any lost elasticity. The dermal fillers will provide a long-lasting improvement and can last anywhere from 12 to 18 months, but we recommend yearly repeat treatments to maintain the shape that you have desired for so long.

Other mid-to-upper face treatments that work well in conjunction with cheek augmentation are Botox for wrinkle reduction, and perhaps chemical peels to tighten and rejuvenate the skin.
