After an initial consultation, your Juvea practitioner will determine which type of filler is best for you depending on your skin’s condition and what you would like to achieve. The actual procedure only takes around half an hour and is relatively painless, although a numbing anaesthetic cream can be used beforehand.  Afterwards, as with any injection treatment, there may be a little swelling, redness or bruising and there is a slight chance of infection, your practitioner will go through aftercare with you to help prevent this.

With little downtime needed to recover, you will be able to see visible results immediately after the procedure. The great news is that dermal fillers to the nasolabial folds are very effective- even deep lines can be significantly reduced and the effects can last anywhere from between 6-9 months, or even a year. After this time, to maintain your new youthful appearance you may benefit from coming in for a top-up treatment. As we use Hyluaronic Acid-based fillers, the results are long-lasting but temporary and can last anywhere between 6 months to a year depending on the individual. After this period, to keep the look that you are so pleased with, repeat injections or top-ups may be required to maintain the shape and volume.
