How successful is treatment? There is really nothing better on the market today for the treatment of hyperpigmentation than the highly scientific ICON laser. The ICON laser’s advanced technology is quite special. More than this, the laser beams intelligently and accurately pass through the top layer of the skin and selectively absorb brown, black or blue pigment particles within the skin. The energy emitted by the laser when it is absorbed causes the melanosomes in the pigment cells to break into minuscule particles which are removed by the body’s immune system. The way that works is the pigmented spots become darker and will slowly come to the skin’s surface, shedding after 10-14 days.
