Juvea Aesthetic’s Top Five Treatments to Transform Your Smile
Did you know that over 30% of adults in the UK have been made to feel self-conscious about their smile? It’s a sad statistic, but it explains why the cosmetic dentistry industry was valued at £2.2 billion in 2019. More and more people are turning to veneers, whitening and orthodontics to achieve their ideal smile. At Juvea Aethetics, we believe that fixing the teeth is only half the story. Botox and dermal fillers can be perfectly paired with cosmetic dentistry to rejuvenate the lower face. Here are our top five treatments to turn that frown upside down and give you a smile to be proud of.
1. Botox for Bruxism
Bruxism affects over 10 millions adults in the UK, clenching and grinding their teeth through the day and night. Symptoms range from excessive teeth wear and gum inflammation to headaches, migraines, earache, and neck, shoulder and jaw pain; along with a square jawline caused by excessive use of the jaw muscles.
Having small doses of Botox injected directly into the jaw muscles weakens things just enough to stop the clenching and grinding action, which will not only reduce the symptoms of bruxism, but will also slim your jawline into the bargain.
2. Gummy Smile Reduction
A gummy smile is exactly what it sounds like – too much gum showing above the teeth when we smile. It’s a condition that is most common in younger women, adding a new fear to our twenties. The good news is that if a gummy smile is caused by an hyperactivity of the muscles in your upper lip, it can be treated simply and quickly with Botox®!Having small amounts of Botox injected into both sides of the nostril will weaken the upper lip muscle just enough to prevent the upper lip from lifting or curling under excessively when smiling, with the result that you’ll show a lot less gum!
3. Nasolabial Lines
Nasolabial lines run from the nose to the corners of the mouth, and are commonly known as laugh lines. Given that these lines can sag and weigh down the face, we don’t find them very funny.
A combination of Botox and dermal filler can be used to treat laugh lines, with Botox relaxing the muscles in this area to combat sagging and dermal fillers smoothing out wrinkles; shedding years in the process.
4. Lip Fillers
As the popularity of aesthetic injectables has soared, no treatment has become as popular as lip filler. Whether due to naturally thin lips or to a loss of lip volume due to age, clients across the UK are seeking natural, revitalising lip filler treatments.
Lip filler injections even out asymmetrical lips, provide hydration and volume, and reduce the appearance of fine lines; rejuvenating the mouth and creating the perfect pout.
5. Marionette Line Fillers
The term ‘marionette lines’ comes from (you guessed it) puppets. More specifically, a marionette puppets’ split jaw which can be opened and closed by puppeteers to make the doll look like it’s speaking. Running straight from the corners of the mouth to either side of the chin, marionette lines can sag and weigh down the face, often making sufferers look perpetually sad or annoyed.
At Juvea Aesthetics, we use dermal fillers to smooth away marionette lines; injecting below the corners of the mouth to fill out the creases and lift the smile; giving a younger, happier appearance with no strings attached!
